Sandy Whisman

Sandy Whisman, MSN, Senior Consultant

Sandy has more than 25 years in physician recruiting and practice services. She is an experienced nurse and nursing leader which has proven useful in helping Sandy develop quick rapport with physicians and other members of the hospital staff. In addition to her 25 + years of physician recruitment expertise, Sandy has been an Educator, Manager, Director of Nursing, Service Line Leader and Physician Liaison.

Sandy has worked for hospitals and systems of all sizes, including being the lead physician recruiter for both Suburban Health Organization and St. Vincent Health in Indianapolis (the flagship hospital system of Ascension Health). As a result, she has a strong knowledge base of what physicians and nursing staffs are facing from various perspectives in changing healthcare system. Sandy also understands the individual physician needs and their families and works extensively to help them integrate into the new health system and community. Sandy appreciates the opportunity to continue to focus on relationship development for placed physicians and help them make connections and network for their ongoing development and success. Her efforts to find excellent matches result in decreased turnover.

Sandy earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Evansville and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Indiana University. She maintains her clinical skills through volunteering for healthcare related events in the community. In addition, she enhances her sense of charity through medical mission work in countries such as Haiti.
